1953 company foundation
In 1953 Fritz Schaal began emptying pits that were not yet connected to the public sewer system, in addition to his work as a farmer. His tools at the time consisted of a tractor and a slurry tank. Manfred Müller, today's managing director, was hired by his future father-in-law in 1962. In the same year the first brand new vacuum truck was bought. Fritz Schaal died in 1971. The company was continued by his daughter Helga and his son-in-law.
In order to optimally meet the growing demands of waste disposal, Schaal + Müller continuously expanded the range of services by adding new fields of activity such as sewer cleaning (1966), container service (1972) and central problem material collection (1983). Over the years, the disposal sector has become more and more important. In 1984 agriculture was completely stopped.
The spatial expansion went hand in hand with the operational expansion. Initially, the company expanded in 1975 by relocating to a newly built company building in Tilgshäusle in Leonberg.
1989 Ditzingen company
After the spatial possibilities were exhausted here too, the move to Ditzingen followed in 1989. And development continued.
1991
The first walking floor truck was purchased
1992
The first waste compactor was purchased
A new branch for handling waste paper was acquired in Simmozheim, and the first channel baling press was installed at the same time
1994 Inauguration of Simmozheim
On May 27, 1994, the company's own recycling facility in Simmozheim was inaugurated. The company in Simmozheim has been expanded in recent years to include the sorting system, the wood storage area and additional baling presses
1997 grease separator system
In July 1997, the self-developed grease separator system was put into operation at the main Ditzingen plant. Here the wastewater from grease separator systems in large kitchens, butchers, restaurants, etc. is physically and mechanically pretreated. The separated fat is used in biogas plants to generate electricity, or used in fat melts for recycling.
1999 waste management company
Schaal Müller received the confirmation for contemporary waste disposal work in May 1998 through the award as a waste management company according to §56 Recycling Management Act, as well as the waste disposal company regulation. This certificate has been renewed annually since then.
2000
The transshipment facility in Leonberg on the old Rübenloch landfill was in operation from 2000 to the end of 2008 and had to be closed due to internal requirements of the Boeblingen district.
2000 oil separator / sand trap system
Since autumn 2000 we have been operating our own processing plant for sand trap / oil separator contents approved according to the 4th BimSchV in Ditzingen. In this plant, the liquid waste from the emptying and cleaning of the oil separator / sand trap system is physically pretreated, separated and fed to a recycling facility.
2004 DSD / Green Dot
From 2004 to 2006 we carried out the collection and sorting of the “yellow sacks” in the state capital Stuttgart and the city of Pforzheim on behalf of the Duales System Deutschland
2005 tank farm
In the summer of 2005, our BimschV-approved tank farm was completed, for waste oils and drilling / grinding oil emulsions from automotive / machine and plant construction as well as from metalworking companies. After an incoming inspection, the waste is grouped into economically sensible batches and taken to external treatment or recycling facilities.
2006 Extension of the recycling hall in Simmozheim
In 2006, the recycling hall built in 1994 was expanded to include an extension of 1,000 m². A third baling press with 130 tons of pressing force was installed here for pressing plastics and paper.
2008 Schwieberdingen mixing plant
In 2008, we set up a mixing plant at the Schwieberdingen (Ludwigsburg district) site on the AVL “Am Froschgraben” landfill site. It is used to condition sludge made from mineral materials together with dust and ashes.
Our system offers a new way of disposing of sludge, for which only a few systems were previously considered due to their consistency.
2008 Expansion in Ditzingen
Installation of a channel baling press for pressing paper and cardboard, as well as installation of a calibrated vehicle scale
2009
Erection of handling boxes with roofing and housing for the baling press
