History

Anno 1938 and then started as FC Ruskus Lompen en Metalen.

A merchant in heart and soul, that was Frans Ruskus (sr.). Already at a young age, he traveled through all the streets that Breda had to peddle. Nothing was too crazy for him as a trade. Three quarters of the city knew him, so always someone who had business for him.

The trade in metals and rags grew rapidly due to the hard work of Frans Ruskus, popularly now referred to as 'De kale rus'. From handcart was changed to horse and cart. And soon the site on Sluisstraat became too small. In 1969 the company moved to the Kolfbaanstraat. A plot with no less than 6,000 square meters of land behind it. The business continued to grow and at the age of 61, Frans Ruskus thought it was time for his son, Frans Ruskus Jr. to take over the business.

With this takeover, expansion was found on the Wieringenstraat, where it is still located today
