For over 50 years, Royce//Ayr has been supplying the woodworking, plastics, and non-ferrous industry with premium quality cutting tools. Royce//Ayr started out in 1963 as "Royce Carbide Tools Ltd", a small local sharpening shop for woodworking tools. The company continued to expand, and soon became involved in the design and manufacture of specialty saw blades and custom carbide tipped tooling. Thru the 80's and 90's Royce utilized their extensive experience to develop and manufacture Insert and PCD-Diamond tooling. In 1997 Royce Carbide Tools merged with Ayr Saw & Tool, a manufacturer of HSS saw blades for metal, incorporating valuable market experience in the formation of the new company Royce//Ayr Cutting Tools. Since this merger management has continued to invest in state of the art equipment, expand their product lines, and utilize highly skilled employees to satisfy the demands of the cutting tool industry.
