Since 1966, Royal Plastics, Inc of Mentor, Ohio, has become a leading full-service custom manufacturer of injection molded plastic parts.

Since its beginning, Royal Plastics has expanded to global markets, and capabilities to include toolmaking, molding, stamping, decorating, printed circuit board assembly, integrated component assembly, product testing, warranty service, and shipping.

We do business right here in Northeast Ohio, throughout the United States, and in 1997 we expanded into Asia.

History : 

Royal Plastics beginnings go back to Plastic Mold and Die, a pioneer in the injection moldmaking industry in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s.

The company, in northeast Ohio, gained a reputation for fabricating excellent, cutting-edge molds. Eventually, Plastic Mold and Die branched out-at the request of a customer-and bought three presses to mold plastic components in the back of the shop.

This new venture took off quickly, driven by a growing demand for quality injection molded components in the auto, appliance, industrial, houseware and toy industries, among others. And this success led to the incorporation of Royal Plastics.

Royal Plastics, Inc. started operations in Cleveland, in an 8,000-square-foot facility, which it quickly outgrew. In 1972, the company moved into a 20,000-square-foot plant, with 10 presses, in Eastlake, Ohio.

With demand continuing to grow, Royal Plastics purchased land outside Mentor, Ohio, in 1982, and in 1983 moved into a new 60,000-square-foot facility, where it continues to do business. Since then Royal Plastics has added a second floor of offices, built an additional 30,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 20,000 of warehouse space, and constructed a 50,000-square-foot manufacturing plant across the street. These 2 Ohio facilities combined have over 160,000 square feet with 54 presses.

At the same time, Royal Plastics has expanded into international markets and has forged a partnership with an Asian company that makes molds, produces injected molded plastic parts, and assembles products. Located in Shenzhen, China, we have a full service mold building factory, 40+ injection molding machines, 30+ metal stamping presses, and PCB manufacturing equipment. A new facility was opened in June of 2010, with over 250,000 square feet of operating space.
