Roy Metal Finishing is an ISO/TS 16949 certified electroplating jobshop specializing in zinc and zinc alloy coatings for the automotive and aerospace industries.

Our three highly automated facilities are located in the beautiful southeast in Greenville, South Carolina on the Interstate 85 corridor between Charlotte, North Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia. This inviting area, once known for textiles, is now home to BMW Manufacturing and 230 other international companies. With over 200 automotive suppliers located in South Carolina and over 1000 automotive suppliers located within 500 miles of Greenville, this area is rapidly becoming known as the new center for automotive commerce.

Roy Metal Finishing, the largest electroplating in the Southeast, provides barrel and rack zinc and zinc alloy plating. In addition to zinc, zinc nickel, zinc iron and tin zinc, RMF offers heavy zinc phosphating, passivation, water soluble dipspin coatings, sorting and boxing.

Established in 1961, RMF has grown steadily to a company with over 100 people working three shifts, five days a week.With the majority of our business in the automotive industry, we understand the need for high standards on plating quality, detailed performance documentation and flexible logistics to meet the needs of domestic and international automotive suppliers. In addition to serving the automotive industry, Roy Metal Finishing also serves the industrial and consumer products industries as well.As of 2008, our sales divided into the following industries: Automotive (75%), Consumer Goods (10%), Industrial Goods (15%).

 Automated Hoist Electroplating Line

Over the past 5 years, RMF has focused on automating processes and chemical controls and introducing the latest in trivalent passivate and sealer/topcoat technology.  Most of the trivalent passivates and sealers are clear and black.  However, we also offer yellow, red and green dyes that are made with trivalent passivates.

Our key markets will continue to include the automotive industry but we will also begin focusing on the growing aerospace industry in the southeast US. We are excited about our upcoming audit to the NADCAP, the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors program.

In 2009 the focus was on next generation zinc nickel alloy plating technology, better automation for the application of trivalent passivates and expanding our business in water soluble dipspin coatings.
