We fasten 16 gauge sub-girts over the existing roof panels into the steel purlins and then install new 26 gauge sub-girts over the existing roof panels into the steel purlins and then install new 26 gauge “Galvalume Plus” roof panels with long life “ZAC” fasteners, these panels come with a manufacturer’s 25-year warranty. This eliminates the need to remove the old panels and thus not expose the interior to weather in the process.
