Rom Waste finds efficient eco-friendly solutions by promoting and inspiring a sustainable way of waste management through recycling and prioritisation. An effective waste management will aid both the natural and financial Romanian environment and help the country align its standards to those of the European Union. Rom Waste holds the biggest and most productive solid waste sorting line in Romania and one of the biggest in Eastern Europe. The station automatically sorts the waste according to its type and dimension, also including a manual sorting component. Exclusive in Romania, the RWS project has a complete waste management system with a maximum recovery of fractions that can be recycled and harnessed energetically. Rom Waste holds strategic partnerships with various recycling research centres and prestigious universities in Europe as Delf University of Technology, Transilvania University in Brașov, La Sapienza in Roma, Barcelona Supercomputing Centre and Technical University of Danemark.
