Our History

RIVA began as one man working nights on a bench in his basement. Thirty years later, we are a product development and vertically integrated manufacturing plant occupying a 37,500 square foot space with over 140 experience employees. The journey in between was full of dedication, innovation, and perseverance: all the same standards we live by today.

Our Culture

Emergency Fund

Employees opt in to give a dollar from each paycheck towards an emergency fund. RIVA matches each dollar given. Then, in the case of an emergency, employees are gifted money from the fund to get back on their feet.

Giving Fund

RIVA donates 10% of its net profits to be given to worthy causes such as community hospitals, non profit organizations, disaster relief funds, and a ministry that feeds school children in the Dominican Republic.

Massage Therapy

Being a jeweler is hard work. RIVA provides all of its employees access to a massage therapist specializing in complimentary break-time massages to personalized stretching routines.

Compassion International

Employees have the opportunity to to give as much as they decide (to be matched by RIVA) per month to support children in underdeveloped countries.

Access to a Chaplain

We have partnered with Marketplace Chaplains to provide employees with an on-board chaplain available for counselling or anyone in need of someone to talk to.

ESL Classes

RIVA provides ESL classes after work hours for anyone looking to improve their English language proficiency.

Games and Athletic Events

In our gaming hall we have table soccer, ping pong, carpet ball, giant connect four, chess, and a pool table to be enjoyed during breaks and lunchtime. Tournaments are held every few months for our most popular games.

Meditation Room and Library

Our factory is a fast-paced work environment. We have devoted a quiet room for reading, meditating and prayer available to anyone needing a few minutes away.

Nutritional Counseling

Our collective health is of utmost importance. RIVA employees have complimentary access to a naturopathic health doctor for any health and dietary questions.

Quarterly Luncheons and Picnics

In order to function as a team, we need to get to know eachother as people. RIVA hosts quarterly luncheons and a yearly all-day picnic for employees to spend quality time with eachother and their families.
