We are committed to minimising the waste deposited at landfill sites. We also believe that by taking care of our environment and controlling our waste today we are securing a more positive future for generations to come. We have a fully licensed Waste Recycling Centre. This means we are able to segregate the various types of waste for recycling, leaving less to landfill. Here at Ringwood and Fordingbridge Skip Hire we have invested heavily in our recycling centre facilities, adding a manual picking station coupled with a Majorette system, allowing us to significantly reduce our waste going to landfill, therefore increasing our recycling percentages.

After being made redundant in 2007, Managing Director Mr Ben Wyatt bought a second hand skip lorry to repair and then sell, but actually ended up buying 5 skips from a local company in Romsey and started his own business, “Ringwood Mini Skip Hire”. 3 years later Ben took over “Fordingbridge Skip Hire” and combined businesses to form “Ringwood & Fordingbridge Skip Hire Ltd”.

Now operating 8 lorries and 500 skips ranging between skip sizes 2 and 40 yards, Ben decided to research and develop the recycling side to contribute to a greener environment. Plans were made to start up a recycling centre which involved a long 18 month time period of planning applications and lots of sleepless nights!

In October 2011 the recycling centre was operational. This now enables us to separate and recycle the waste collected in our skips. We recycle wood, soil, rubble, green waste and metal and have just purchased an onsite bailing machine to bail cardboard, hard plastic and soft plastic, also for recycling. We recycle 90% of our waste that is collected in our skips and are aiming to increase this over the next two years.

We now provide a direct tipping service at our recycling centre. All you need is a waste carriers license and we will be happy to take your waste for you.

We also allow for a wait and load service which is ideal if there are restrictions on leaving the skips over night.
