RIME 1 is a company for the reuse of construction waste which has been carrying out treatment and recovery activities for inert construction and demolition waste (C&D) since 1997; until 2009 it also carried out disposal activities. Currently the plant is able to offer its customers services for the recycling of inert waste and recovery of wood waste: materials coming directly from the construction industry, from selective demolitions, similar materials collected on the territory of the Municipality of Rome and neighboring municipalities by various operators in the field of environmental remediation and waste management.

From the recovery operations (selection and mechanical treatment) of inert waste delivered to its site, RIME 1 obtains secondary raw materials (MPS) for construction, specific for foundations, fillings, drainages, etc. in road works. The quality-price ratio of these products is extremely competitive: the list prices of sales guarantee a reduction of approximately 50% of the current costs of raw materials, with the same technical and performance characteristics.

From the recovery process of wood waste derives a product suitable for the manufacture of chipboard panels. Since 2004, RIME 1 has been the National Consortium RILEGNO Platform for the collection, recovery and recycling of wood packaging.
