The History
How it all started 1959 until today.
Richard Geiss had just finished painting the garden fence in 1958 to clean the paint brushes. As an environmentally friendly and responsible family man, he did not want to simply dump the required solvent down the drain.
In this small everyday moment, a great vision was born: the sustainable and resource-saving processing of dangerous solvents. He realized the real potential of his idea a few days later when, while working as an industrial car mechanic, he noticed the large amounts of solvents that were wasted due to ineffective use. As a man of action, Richard Geiss immediately set about developing a method to solve all these problems. The Geiss company has been processing solvents since 1959.
With constant success, Richard Geiss GmbH has become one of the largest European solvent recyclers and, thanks to the highest quality standards, is a sought-after producer and supplier of high-quality solvents. With a total capacity of 50,000 tons per year, the Geiss distillation systems set standards for the entire industry.
