Cooperative History

"The cooperative plan is the best plan of organization wherever men have the right spirit to carry it out. Under this plan any

business undertaking is managed by a committee; every man has one vote and only one vote;

and everyone gets profits according to what he sells or buys or supplies.

It develops individual responsibility and has a moral as well as

financial value over any other plan."

Board of Directors

Cooperatives are democratic organizations controlled by their members, who actively participate in setting their policies and making decisions. Men and women serving as elected representatives are accountable to the membership. Cooperative members have equal voting rights (one member, one vote) and cooperatives at other levels are organized in a democratic manner.

Our Board of Directors serve rotating, three-year terms. Each year at our annual meeting, the membership elects three member-owners to represent them and to set Cooperative policy. The current board is:

District 1: Alan "Whitey" Hinderman, Phil Nestande (Board Chairman), Alan Neyers (Secretary/Treasurer)

District 2: Randy Dolezal, Stan Prokosch, Wayland Zaske

District 3: Steve Benson, Roger Manthei (Vice Chairman), Gary Peterson
