You can find our company at Overhoffstraße 33-35 in Dortmund-Marten. From there we serve our customers in the Dortmund area and the surrounding area by setting up containers for the disposal of various types of waste . Here in Dortmund-Marten you will also find our own waste sorting system . From the beginning, our aim was unbureaucratic and fast processing and installation of the desired containers. We can still guarantee this today.

OUR COMPANY HISTORY

1950
It all started in the early 1950s. In the post-war years, Anton Kirchhoff opened a small scrap and metal shop in Dortmund-Bövinghausen. Hardly imaginable today, the materials were initially transported by cart and donkey. The son, Eberhard Kirchhoff, was there from an early age.

1966
At the age of 23, Eberhard Kirchhoff discovered the need for container troughs for easy loading and transport of garbage, construction waste and scrap metal. The foundation stone for the container service that is still successful today was laid. The demand was great and the young company grew steadily.

1996
The idea of ​​a recycling system for sorting bulky waste and mixed construction waste was put into practice after several years of planning. The old storage area in Dortmund Bövinghausen was too small for that. The necessary premises, such as the sorting hall, the administration area and the sanitary facilities, were created in a two-year construction phase. Kirchhoff is now operating as an independent family business in the third generation.

1998
In summer 1998 the company moved into the new premises at Overhoffstrasse 33-35 in Dortmund-Marten. Since then, Kirchhoff-Recycling has not dealt exclusively with the transport of containers and trading in scrap metals. A major part of our activities today is the careful sorting of various types of waste and recycling materials.

1999
to
2017
After the recycling plant opened in 1998, we had to expand the company premises in 2007 and build another sorting hall. In the meantime, the TASI (Technical Instructions for Municipal Waste) has been introduced. Waste that was previously only dumped now had to be sorted. Our already existing waste sorting system was finally able to fully start its work. Today the incoming waste goes through different recycling stages. It is important here to keep the waste that can be thermally recycled as low as possible and to further expand recycling.
