OUR START IN COMPUTER RECYCLING

In 1996 in a simple small unheated garage on the north shore of Montreal, 2 young entrepreneurs decided to dismantle some old computers. First to earn some pocket money by recycling iron and copper. Then to make a difference within the environment and within a community. First, it was a small rudimentary organization employing a few screwdrivers and a lot of elbow grease. Then, over time, the company has managed to establish itself as one of the largest computer recycling companies in Canada.

MULTIPLE RECYCLABLE MATERIALS

In addition, the operation carried out using more advanced tools succeeded in finding many outlets. In fact, almost all of the materials contained in a computer are recyclable. Thus, today, more than 98% of the components of a computer are recycled in an environmentally responsible manner. For example, the carcasses of iron, aluminum, copper, wiring, plastic, printed circuits are all healthily upgraded in Quebec. 

OUR CHOICE PARTNERS

The computer recycling activity brought together more than 65 employees and more than 140 partners in Quebec. In particular, thanks to its social involvement and work integration component. Thus, the company now recycles a huge range of electrical, electronic and computer waste. In fact, any product containing metal, operating with an electric wire or using batteries is almost entirely recyclable under the "Computer Recycling" component of the company.

THE IMPACT OF COMPUTER RECYCLING

Only in the year 2014, the computer recycling company made great ecological achievements. For example, a recovery of the order of more than 1,600 metric tonnes of electronic products. In fact, this recovered amount represents a tiny fraction of easily recoverable environmentally hazardous electronics.

Recently, in 2015, our computer recycling activities freed landfills of more than 2,150 metric tonnes of electronic waste. In particular, the company succeeded in crossing the symbolic milestone of 20 metric tons of lead recovered.
