Our 17000 sq. ft. fabrication shop is conveniently located in Sparwood half a kilometer from the EVO plant gate.  We have been supplying the mines and industry with quality work since 1980. We are certified to division 2.1 with the C.W.B. We have strong experience in structural steel fabrication, heavy plate work, maintenance and equipment upgrade at all five of the local mines.

Services

In addition to our shop facilities we maintain twelve fully equipped welding rigs, ten service trucks, flat-deck delivery trucks, 50 & 32 ton cranes, and tele-handlers. We have 68 employees providing, structural and B pressure welding, fabrication, millwright, heavy duty mechanic, light vehicle mechanic, machining, computerized detailing, and engineering services with regular scheduled coverage for 20 hours per regular work day. We provide onsite services on a contract and cost plus basis with 24/7/365 coverage. This includes plant maintenance and renovations, heavy equipment repair, steel erection, piping fabrication and installation etc. We have extensive experience and resources for any applicable codes and laws governing all work at Teck Coal Ltd. sites.
