History of Rapid Control Service, Inc

The Company was started by Darl and Elnora Peabody in 1964 in the basement of their house. In 1967 Darl purchased the house at the left along 28th Street in Wyoming, Michigan and over the next few years transformed it into the photo below. In 1971 he built the first block building and in 1976 added an addition. In 1980 the original house was torn down and the new offices were built. In 1995, a new 2,500 sq/ft addition was built for warehouse space, which included a new roof over the complete building. At the same time the building to the East was purchased for future expansion.

Darl and Elnora's daughter Penny and her husband Gary Wyn purchased Rapid Control Service In 1992. They have carried on the excellence in customer service philosophy that has made Rapid Control Service West Michigan's Premier Fluid Power Distributor. In addition to fluid power products, Rapid Control Service offers complete product lines and customer training in pneumatics and welding. Since 1964 Rapid Control has been a leader in the resistance welding market and has an extensive inventory of new and reconditioned welding equipment and components ready for your application.
