Raipaper srl, which represents the fourth generation of the family operating in the sector, takes over the production, commercial and real estate management of Alcart srl.
Raipaper srl was born from the will of the Alleva family to continue and implement the experience in the paper and paper converting world in the Isola del Liri plant.
Raipaper srl is currently the Italian and continental leader in the sector of production, transformation and marketing of recycled paper.
More precisely, it is the only company in the sector, at European level, to be "integrated" as it is essentially composed of two main and connected sectors that we will go on to analyze in detail in the appropriate sections:
The paper mill: responsible for recycling and the production of recycled paper;
Paper converting: responsible for coupling, printing and converting the reels produced in the paper mill
Our History
The history of Raipaper srl, albeit short, has temporally and geographically very distant roots. In fact, the Alleva family began its activity in the paper sector in Naples in 1941 and in the mid-1950s, after a purely commercial activity, collaborating among others with the newspaper "Il Mattino", it set up a paper converting machine with machinery for time at the forefront, becoming in a few years a point of reference for the whole of central-southern Italy regarding flexible food packaging.
In 1963 the family gradually moved towards the productive activity to manage until 1978 a paper mill that produced brown and yellow “camoscino” paper. In 1979, in collaboration with their father Raimondo, the sons Domenico and Antonio, followed later by Salvatore, took over the paper converting business again. Within a few years Alcart srl (acronym for Alleva Cartaria) became one of the most important companies in Italy for the production of laminated paper for food purposes. The definitive leap in quality took place in 1990 with the transfer of the production and administrative activity to Isola del Liri (FR). In the first years following the transfer, the Alleva brothers take over the former “Cartiera Trito”, and then define in 1995 the purchase of the former “Cartiera Viscogliosi” where it still operates today.
The production site is renovated both from the real estate point of view and by bringing the appropriate and necessary technological innovations to the production cycle. The synergy deriving from the combination of the related activities of paper mill and paper converting, a cutting-edge technological and production system but above all experience and knowledge of the market and the paper sector by now seventy years have allowed the Alleva family to establish itself as a leading company in the non-industrial sector. only at the Italian level but also continental and intercontinental. In fact, especially in the third millennium, the company activity was characterized by a strong international component, turning mostly to the nearby Mediterranean realities and to the contiguous European partners.
