R Thornton the company is now part of the M J Hickey Plant Hire & Contracts Ltd group of companies (headed up by Anthony Hickey)  specialising in bulk earth moving, landfill engineering, major groundwork projects, demolition, site clearance & restoration, recycled aggregates, plant and skip hire.

The company has its own waste transfer station, aggregate recycling facility and can provide specialist licensed asbestos removal. All of our staff are highly trained and experienced in their specialist fields.

Services include full operational contract management, in accordance with compliance accreditation to both BS EN ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System and BS EN ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems and FORS (Silver) accreditation.
