As a mechanical engineer in the US Coast Guard where I served for nine years, I learned the importance of designing and building electro-mechanical systems to be strong and safe. My choice to leave the Coast Guard and venture into the sustainable energy field was spurred by my strong desire to help preserve the natural world. In 2006 I first entered the solar power industry as a project manager for a company in Berkeley. After that, I learned another aspect of the industry by taking a solar sales position. Eventually, I started installing solar power and truly sank my teeth into my daily work. Eventually I was promoted to company troubleshooter for a large commercial installation firm. They invested in my technical abilities by flying me to Canada for training in inverter theory, analysis and repair. In 2010 I fulfilled a lifelong dream and started Quattro Solar. Using AutoCAD, I design all of my customers’ plan sets. As you will see below in my list of certifications, I have accrued a host of skills that sets me apart from most of my competitors. I have the experience, specialized tools, and up-to-date industry knowledge required for accurate analysis and appropriate action. Most importantly, I am committed to quality. It’s such a thrill to see my customers light up when their meter literally starts counting backwards
