Our Story
Our story is one of excellence and innovation.
QUAL-FAB was founded in Seattle, Washington in 1977 by John F. Williams.
Williams started the company with just one machine and a 600 square foot space. By 1982, the business had expanded to 1500 square feet. Williams continued to invest in technology, equipment, and developing a team of hard-working sheet metal professionals. Laser-focused on quality, the company continued to grow year over year.
In 1991, son John M. Williams became general manager and expanded the company’s services to include Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Contract Manufacturers (CMs) — producing large volume runs for sheet-metal parts, brackets, face panels, enclosures, and value-added assemblies.
Today, QUAL-FAB is still a family and veteran owned business. Located in Seattle, QUAL-FAB has now expanded to 30,000 square feet utilizing dozens of state-of-the-art machines.
Over the years, we have developed an unparalleled track record serving a wide variety of industries including, aerospace, alternative and renewable energy, fitness equipment, medical, military, telecommunications, and electronics. Our capabilities include sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting, punching, precision brake forming, welding, hardware insertion and fastening, mechanical assembly.
