About Company

What began in 1983 as an internal resource for Quad, QuadMetalworks is now a full-service provider of machining, fabricating and painting capabilities to manufacturers both large and small across the country.

Heritage

Founded in 1971, Quad is an international printer focused on transforming fresh, innovative ideas into efficiency and profitability. It was that focus on innovation that led to the creation of QuadMetalworks in 1983, and positions us today as a leading manufacturing solutions provider for a wide range of companies.

Accreditations

QuadMetalworks is an ISO 9001:2000 compliant machine shop, with quality practices in place that fall within the ISO 9001:2000 guidelines. Beyond ISO, we have taken the initiative to implement a Quality Management System that fully establishes our organizational structure, procedures, processes and resources.

Leadership

Steve Savignac: Manager

Steve has been an employee of Quad since 1986. While Steve's roles and responsibilities have changed over time, he’s maintained a keen interest in learning about customers' needs, and how Quad can meet them. His first role was with QuadTech, assembling press and finishing equipment for Quad and clients around the world. He was a project lead, assembly shop supervisor and assembly shift manager before joining QuadTech’s fabrication operations in 2002. In 2006, he was named manufacturing manager for the QuadTech machine shop.

Jay DeGroot: Team Lead – Machining

Jay started at Quad in 1990 and remains a goal-oriented individual. It’s a trait that’s been on display for his many years in the machining industry. He started as a toolroom machinist’s apprentice, working his way up to his current role as team lead. Over time he assisted with lean manufacturing and Just in Time manufacturing efforts, and helped QuadTech achieve ISO certification. In addition to being a state-certified toolroom machinist, Jay has experience in all areas of machining operations, including programming and shift supervision.

Don Styer: Team Lead – Fabrication

A state certified welder since 1991, Don has been with Quad since 1998, starting as a welder/fabricator before quickly moving to fabrication shop supervisor and project lead for large assemblies. He’s spent a great deal of time in the field, helping with new press installations as well as work on existing operations.

Ross Byrum: Sales / Customer Service

Ross has been responsible for inside/outside sales and customer service for QuadMetalworks since 2009. He started his Quad career in 2007, helping with the operation of various machine tools, quoting new work and administering sales orders. Prior to joining Quad, he spent 25 years at a bearing manufacturer in a variety of positions, including sales, technical consulting, production planning, manufacturing process planning and quality control.
