Prowind Canada Inc. is a Canadian corporation based in Hamilton, Ontario with a mandate to develop wind power generation across the country. We have a very strong relationship with the farming community in Canada. Our success continues to rely on this relationship in order to secure rights to develop wind power, in concert with existing farming operations, on agricultural land.

Prowind Canada Inc. is intimately tied with Prowind GmbH (Osnabrueck, Germany), a full service company whose core competencies are the planning, financing, construction, and operation of power plants driven by renewable energy; Prowind GmbH has demonstrated success in wind, solar, organic and hydro power projects.

History:

Prowind GmbH was established in 2000 by farmer and lawyer Johannes Busmann. It has since completed 16 successful wind power projects in Germany alone. The company's current project list includes wind, solar and biomass projects in excess of 1000 MW in eight countries on four continents (Europe, North & South America, and Australia).

Our goal is to provide security and economic sustainability to rural Canada through the development of well-managed wind power energy generation programs.

Services

Prowind partners with farmers and landowners to sell clean power from renewable sources to the regional power utility. With our partners we seek to develop viable wind farms that will continually bring revenue back to rural communities in Canada.
