Precision Die Cast Inc. began in 2001 as the dream company of a military veteran. At the time, he had a ton of experience in the die casting industry and decided it was time he branched out on his own. Now he boasts more than 40 years of industry experience! He’s done and seen it all in the component manufacturing field. He’s a former Dynacast Production Manager. He’s been a Techmire consultant and trainer. He even helped develop ACUZinc5, which is a proprietary General Motors alloy. Think we’re done? Not by a long shot. He also helped develop an associate degree program for industrial manufacturing in Grand Rapids, MI. Needless to say, we know our way around the industry. We specialize in zinc die casting, and our alloy components are some of the best you’ll find anywhere. We’re meticulous in our process, and no detail goes unnoticed. Our professionals are experts at crafting components for use in medical and military applications! We also handle the fields of aerospace, construction, and industrial. Not only that, but we also produce fiber optics, and we provide appliances.

HISTORY & BACKGROUND

The President and founder of Precision Die Cast, Inc. is one of five children raised in a family-owned propane gas business in rural Vermont. Out of high school, he served six years in the U.S. Army NG as an Air Traffic Controller. With an extensive background in machine trades and engineering, he began his die casting career as a machine operator in the 1980’s with Techmire, the world leader in the manufacture of mult-slide die casting equipment. The manufacturing assets were sold to Ilco-Unican in North Carolina, where he served as lead hand, trainer, maintenance, mold tryout, and engineering consultant. He then spent a year as Quality Manager before moving to New York to become the youngest Production Manager in Dynacast’s history, responsible for producing $250,000,000 in multi-slide die castings per year. Moving to Michigan with Techmire (again) in the 1990’s, he ran U.S. operations as a Field Technician serving the industry in all aspects of die casting. He was also instrumental in developing a college associates degree program in die casting. He then became Partner and Vice President of a start-up company primarily casting prototypes in Zinc, Aluminum and Magnesium. He designed and managed up to 20 dies and programs per month before venturing out on his own in 2001 to start Precision Die Cast, Inc. By engaging the challenges of the profession, it is said he is the best the industry has to offer. Hands-on production experience, strong leadership and management skills, along with successful business experiences, uniquely qualify PDC as one of the leaders in the die cast field under the direction of President, Craig LaPierre.
