Founded in 1978, Powercast Manufacturing Inc. is a leader in the field of permanent mold aluminium castings. Powercast specialises in the production of aluminium castings of various complexities made to customer specifications, and was the first aluminium foundry to introduce the permanent mold and semi-permanent mold process to Eastern Canada.

Powercast offers a one-stop-shop solution to small and large manufacturers located across Canada, USA, Mexico, Europe and South America. Its clientele is spread among a wide range of industries, namely Electrical Power, Telecommunications, Transportation, Lighting, OEM, Construction, Recreational, Furniture, etc. Some of the parts produced include brackets, various pump and engine housings, pulleys, flanges, impellers, bases, fixtures, drains, cover plates, hubs, frames, handles, boxes, enclosures, etc. and many more. Typical casting sizes range from 50 g to 70 kg (1.5 ounces to 150 lb).Located in St-Eustache, QC, (20 minutes northwest of Montreal), Powercast is well positioned to service its Canadian and American customers. Services

Right at the start of a project, Powercast provides engineering support and casting design services. Our experienced personnel assists customers in creating new castings, either from a simple idea or sketch, a part produced by another process (a weldment, an assembly, a sheet metal product, etc.), or an existing casting produced by another foundry process (for example, switching a sand casting into a permanent mold casting). Such activities can be made easier with the use of the CAD software SolidWorks.

Our Tool-Making department is fully equipped to handle all aspects of mold making, namely Engineering Support, Technical Design, Tooling Development, CNC Machining, and Maintenance. Our Foundry department employs qualified personnel with many years of casting experience, while our Finishing department efficiently handles all post-foundry operations.Testing capabilities include Hardness, Tensile Strength, Elongation, Dimensional Checks, X-Ray and Chemical Analysis. The company also provides PPAP’s.
