A story that begins in 1963 ...

Who we are In 1963 from an entrepreneurial idea of ​​Marino Povelato, with the help of his wife Liliana, a small artisan sharpening center was born that deals with restoring cutting tools in general.

In 1970 Povelato became the first and only center in Italy for the maintenance of circular blades with HM plates for cutting steel, an absolute novelty at the time.

In 1975 the small workshop under the house moved to a 1000 square meter factory and in addition to the sharpening of all types of tools, special tools began to be built.

In the 1980s and 1990s , growth continued with the development of special tools (automotive, aerospace, precision mechanics, etc.). The graphic and printing sector are also served with linear blades and special tools to design, at the same time we begin to produce some blades for plastic recycling.

Since 1992 the company has also invested its resources in the sector of blades for grinding and recycling, so within a decade this innovative product becomes the core business of the company.

Between 1995 and 2005 the production area is doubled with new investments in machinery and new technologies for special tools and circular blades.

In 2012 yet another expansion of the production area and construction of new offices, at the same time more and more advanced machinery was purchased for a series production of linear blades for grinders and shredders. In addition, the control systems are also updated to ensure the total quality of the products manufactured.

To careful guidance, careful management of resources and the help of valid collaborators; Povelato is today an important reference point at European level for the construction of linear and circular blades and special industrial cutting tools.
