Whilst our offering is new to the market, our principals and team have many years experience, having been involved in the movement of both waste batteries and battery waste in the UK and throughout the world, continually, for over 40 years.

We bring to market extensive experience and a service which has been built from our experience in offering solutions to the problems and frustrations which our clients face.

We exist to offer a second-to-none service for the collection, recycling and disposal of waste batteries, ensuring an efficient solution which guarantees each battery goes through the most appropriate recycling process to allow for the best recovery of the materials; whilst also ensuring value for money.

Bringing Lead Acid Battery Recycling Rates To Other Battery Sectors

Our offering combines our knowledge and experience for our customers benefit, bringing with it commercial advantages and the high recycling rates seen for lead acid batteries to other battery sectors.

We are aware that the amount of non-lead batteries recycled in the UK remains lower than it should be, despite the UK appearing to meet the demands of the EU battery directive overall.

When looked at by chemistry, there is a disturbing imbalance between the volumes of batteries collected and recycled when compared to the amount sold, and PBR plans to try and help rebalance that situation by using the revenue generated from lead acid batteries to subsidise the collection of non-lead batteries.
We are all becoming increasingly aware of the critical nature of our continued over exploitation of natural resources, yet alongside this, we have all become reliant upon portable appliances which are all battery powered.

At PBR, we aim to make sure that those two issues do not become more incompatible by ensuring that the valuable natural resources capable of being recycled from batteries, are recovered for future use, in a way that maximises the recovery and minimises environmental impact and cost.
