PolarSol company was established in February 2009. Our objective is to establish the production of a highly efficient solar collector made of corrosion-resistant steel and solar energy saving systems for the municipal and private sector.

In a couple of years, we walked along the path from an idea on paper to the large-scale solar collector and solar system production. The partnership and close co-operation with research, design and production organisations of Finland and other European countries allowed PolarSol to move forward in developing energy supply systems for the cold climate.

As of now, PolarSol has obtained all grants available in Finland in the field of energy conservation and non-conventional energy sources. Our work and assistance from our partners resulted not only in an idea, but also in the material implementation of the solar space heating systems using the free energy of the Sun!

We are proud that the first standalone solar heating system in the world capable of operating efficiently in cold-climate conditions is named PolarSol!

A PolarSol heat exchanger is a panel made of a thin sheet of the stainless steel with many grooves for the heat transfer medium inside. This solution brought about the useful features of the heat exchanger:

• resistance against chemicals 
  The body is made of food-grade AISI 321 stainless steel. This material resists the sedimentation of impurities both inside and outside the heat exchanger.
• high thermal efficiency 
  1 square metre of the heat exchanger can transfer the maximum thermal heat of up to 20 kW
• super-low flow resistance 
  the overall flow area of a typical heat exchanger panel is about 580 mm2 
• high throughput 
  It allows the heat exchanger to operate efficiently under conditions of the small difference between the transfer agent and medium temperatures
• high-temperature stability 
  The panel operates sustainably at temperatures up to 600°??
• pressure surge resistance 
  The operating pressure is 2 bar, but it can sustain the hydraulic shock of 4 bar an unlimited number of times!
• The service life of the heat exchanger is 25 years.
