PM Environmental's mission is to deliver certainty and provide superior value through focused environmental consulting and engineering solutions.
Understanding and managing environmental projects, building facilities and energy projects with today's often changing regulatory compliance requirements takes a team of highly qualified professionals.
At PM Environmental, our team serves banks, government agencies and numerous other businesses throughout the United States. The firm was built and continues to operate on several core fundamentals, including:integrity, safety, customer focus, technical knowledge, timely management, communication, and teamwork. We excel in these areas enabling us to consistently coordinate and successfully complete projects for our clients.
PM Environmental aims to build and maintain a health and safety culture where both are considered above all else. Our health and safety culture is integral to how we serve our clients and is supported by a program that ensuresour professional staff is trained to carry out our services safely.
PM believes it is a privilege to work for and with our clients, so we go to lengths to make sure our services never represent an added risk to their investments. PM believes that health and safety is a deciding factor when clients choose their vendors, and we use it as a one of our qualifying criteria when choosing our partners and contractors. Moreover, we also consider health and safety awareness and past performance as one of the key factors in our recruitment and staff training programs.
Our goal is to create and maintain a work environment that has zero serious incidents involving our staff. By promoting a safety culture that starts with the firm’s ownership and senior staff, we are able to achieve this goal.
Aspects of PM’s Health and Safety Program include:
All PM Environmental employees, managers, supervisors, consultants, and subcontractors who conduct field activities at sites involving potential or known environmental contamination will have completed the initial Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training course (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120) along with annual refresher training.
PM Environmental managers and supervisors directly responsible for site activities will also have been trained in accordance with a Supervisor Training course in addition to the initial HAZWOPER training course and annual refresher courses.
PM Environmental field employees are trained in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in order to provide immediate assistance until professional medical services are provided.
Professionals involved in the assessment of asbestos, lead-based paint, and microbial/fungal concerns have received U.S. EPA and OSHA training and/or licensing as required by the State in which the services are performed.
PM Environmental maintains professional staff with certifications that address: Confined Space Entry, Federal Railroad Safety, Bloodborne Pathogens, OSHA Construction Safety, and Federal DOT training for the shipment of regulated and hazardous materials.
As part of our medical monitoring program, all PM Environmental employees who participate in field activities involving known or suspected hazardous materials are monitored through our annual medical surveillance program. Personnel performing site work receive a medical baseline or follow-up examination within the past 12 months.
Prior to conducting site investigation activities, site-specific health and safety plan (HASP) are prepared for each site investigation. HASP documents are available for use by both field and managerial employees associated with the conduct of the site investigations. As part of this HASP, daily safety meetings (i.e., “tailgate briefings”) are conducted at the work site by the designated site safety officer prior to each day’s activities to reiterate the health and safety requirements or to inform site personnel of upcoming operations and safety requirements.
PM Environmental maintains an internal incident review program designed to evaluate health and safety incidents (should they occur) in order to learn from the experience and to then improve its safety programs and safety culture.
