Originally established in 1982, Peninsula Alloy was purchased by its current owner Roger Heise in 1996, who saw the value of the company's strong local presence and rich corporate history. At the time of the purchase, Peninsula Alloy produced high quality castings but had a limited maximum casting weight of 2,400 lbs.

Recognizing the value of Peninsula Alloy’s casting expertise, Roger Heise heavily invested in new equipment, developed innovative processes and a more diversified product portfolio. This process began by moving to a new facility at its current location in Stevensville, Ontario, in 2006 which enabled our casting / pouring capacity to skyrocket to 15,000 lbs. Over the past 4 years, we've expanded our capabilities even further by adding patternless and 3D printed moulding capabilities in 2013 and 2015 respectively, and established a joint venture with Dalian Xinzhong in 2016.

Today we are the PAX Foundry and Machining Group, with 3 foundries and 2 machining facilities in Canada and China, with casting capacities ranging from 1 lb to 520,000 lbs. All of these changes were made to support our mission to grow into an industry leader by supplying quality, engineered ferrous castings on time, to various industries including the automotive, pump, valve, power generation, oil and gas, mining, construction and material handling equipment machinery, shipbuilding, pulp and paper, steel, and elevator industries.
