We began the recycling of liquid organic wastes to farmland in 1972 on our farm in Herefordshire and in 1979 Mike Patrick obtained his HGV licence and Liz Patrick qualified as Transport Manager.
In 1994 Liz undertook training in Quality Systems and Supplier Auditing to ISO10011 standard.
In 2005 Emma and Liz became affiliate and associate members of the Chartered Instituition of Wastes Management after gaining their national qualifications in Hazardous Waste Management
Today a fleet of tanker lorries, artics and tanker trailers, together with tractors provide the transport to carry out the various operations we now can offer.
We provide waste disposal services for food and drinks producers, water companies and local councils throughout Herefordshire and the adjacent counties. Patricks also carry out domestic septic tank emptying services.
We also supply clean drinking water using dedicated water tankers to festivals and outdoor events such as the Big Chill at Eastnor Castle and the Hay Festival.
Over recent years we have been developing a Waste Transfer Station at Marlbrook for the temporary storage of liquid organic sludges in 5 tanks each with a capacity of 18,000 gallons, within a protective bund on a purpose built site.
This involved the granting of the Environment Agency of a Waste Management Licence. The whole project was completed in Spring 2007 and was partially funded by Defra through their Rural Enterprise Scheme supporting small businesses in rural areas.
