Who are we

Paridon Containers has been the local specialist for the collection and processing of various waste streams since 1925. We are there for private individuals, contractors, gardeners, plumbers, road workers and other craftsmen where a lot of waste is released. Whether it concerns rubble, green, wood, construction and demolition waste or bulky household waste. We provide the right container, at the right place and at the agreed time. Our catchment area extends from Amersfoort to Hoofddorp and from Zaandam to Maarssen. In other words: the region of Amsterdam, Almere and Het Gooi and surroundings. But it is also possible to order a container from us outside of that. We work very closely with partners throughout the Netherlands. And we are always quickly nearby from our own locations in Diemen and 's-Graveland.

Our medium-sized family business has accumulated a wealth of experience in the waste collection and processing market over more than 95 years. We have gone through many technical and social developments in the field of waste processing, transport and logistics services. Where collection started with a horse and cart, it is now done with modern and energy-efficient trucks. The right software helps us to make the entire process (renting a container) extremely efficient. In addition, the importance of waste separation has penetrated our society and waste treatment methods have improved. With properly separated waste flows it is possible to reuse valuable raw materials. In this way we contribute together to a more sustainable world.

Because we know the market well and therefore the needs of our customers, we are able to respond quickly and flexibly to questions or changes. Our personal approach and our promise 'a deal is a deal' guarantee high customer satisfaction. With our expertise, we can advise everyone adequately about which container best suits his or her situation. And the choice is huge! We supply sales containers from 3m3 to 40m3, various roll containers and even press containers. All collected waste is processed responsibly and in the most environmentally friendly way. For this we use our own waste hub on the east side of Amsterdam: Recycling Diemen . Waste flows are sorted here and the purely separated fractions are offered to recycling companies.

History: what happened more than 95 years ago?

It all started in 1925 when the company, then still Van Paridon, was founded by Piet van Paridon. The reason was the construction of the RC Maria Koepelkerk in Bussum. Piet transported various building materials, mainly sand and stones, by horse and carriage. In 1928 son Henk took over the company from his father Piet.

A few years and a generation later, the company was further expanded by Henk and his three brothers. Paul van Paridon, one of Henk's grandsons, states:

“In the beginning my grandfather worked with three horses and wagons. The first car arrived in 1931, but during the Second World War it was forced to switch back to horse and carriage. In the war years, Henk transported stove wood for the staff of 'Naarden', which they received free of charge at home. After the war, the first car came back into the picture and soon the second and third followed. Especially the transport of building materials, window frames and the specialization in coal has made Paridon Containers great. ”

Henk had three sons. One of these sons, Gerard, has continued with the business. Some time later, Paul, Gerard's son, joined the family business. In 1989 Paul became a partner. He already knew then, recycling materials is the future. The focus of his work was therefore also on that area. With his clear vision and plans for the future, he took up the position of director in 2003.

In 2019 Paridon Containers moved from Bussum to Diemen and the house style was refreshed. Paul's son, Floris van Paridon, is the fifth generation to leave his mark on the family business. And you can feel that it is a family business. The communication is personal and the customer focus is great. In more than ninety years, Paridon Containers has grown into the local specialist for the collection and processing of various waste streams. We are proud of it!
