Parentin GmbH is a modern recycling company . We process or dispose of commercial waste, mixed construction waste, construction waste and bulky waste using certified procedures, making us one of the most important medium-sized providers of sustainable disposal technologies in the region.

Most of our employees live in the rural south of Leipzig . This makes us one of the most important employers here in this area. Our company is located directly on the A38, exit Leipzig-Südost.

Our range of services extends in the area of demolition and disposal from the removal of bulky waste from grandma’s gazebo to major projects such as the gutting of the Leipzig gasometer .

Our container service is not only active regionally, we also drive for customers throughout Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic and Poland .

We also recycle waste - more precisely: valuable materials - using modern technologies and use it to generate fuel, raw materials and soil

History of Parentin GmbH

Parentin GmbH is a second generation family business.

The company has its origins in a classic GDR SERO acceptance point in Störmthal near Leipzig. Günter Parentin has been accepting paper and cardboard, glass and scrap there since the mid-1970s . His son Jörg helped out as a child.

After the fall of the Wall in 1989, new business opportunities opened up. Parentin now also offered haulage and container services . Father and son drove the two trucks, mother Doris and daughter Jaquelin did the bookkeeping - initially part-time. The first company location was on the family's property in the middle of the village.

In 1990 the company was founded as a sole proprietorship. From this time on, the whole family including the children-in-law worked full-time in the company. In addition to the container service, recycling remained an important pillar. When the Störmthal industrial park was established in 1993, Parentin was the first company to set up shop there. In the same year the GmbH was founded and the first sorting line for the recycling of commercial waste was built.

The company took advantage of the post-reunification building boom and grew vigorously. Small deliveries in particular have remained an important point of contact for private individuals in the region over the decades.

The economic crisis of 2008 also left its mark on Parentin GmbH. Important pillars of the company collapsed. The management had to file for bankruptcy in February 2009. However, the responsible bankruptcy court saw good chances for a reorganization and ordered an insolvency plan procedure in self-administration . This was successfully completed in September 2012 .

In March 2016 , the company management changed to the second generation: The senior bosses Doris and Günter Parentin handed over the management of the business to Jörg Parentin and retired to the smaller Parentin VTI GbR. Small deliveries were also outsourced there.

In May 2016, a major fire raged in the so-called wooden hall . The hall and the machines and systems installed in it as well as a large amount of stored material burned down completely. A significant part of the company's electrical systems was also badly damaged.

As a result, almost all processes and procedures had to be redesigned . In the course of the restructuring, the customer structure was changed and new business areas were opened up (especially in the area of ​​fiber composites).

The Parentin GmbH is proud of its dedicated staff , many of whom have worked at the company for decades. With your commitment and willingness to perform, you made a significant contribution to the company's ability to overcome this event.

In the hope of having such good employees in the future, Parentin GmbH will be accepting trainees again from 2019 . The third generation of the family in the person of Tim Parentin is already being prepared for future management tasks.

Today Parentin GmbH is a modern company that can react flexibly to customer requests and market conditions with its machine and plant park . With its combination of family business and modern waste management company , Parentin GmbH is optimistic about the challenges of the future.
