Parallel Mining is focused on the development of high value, high potential advanced gold exploration projects in West Africa.
Currently, Parallel Mining has an option for a 100% interest in the 163-square kilometre Mane II Property (pronounced Man-ay) in Burkina Faso. Located only 20 kilometers south of Nordgold’s 4.9 MOZ Bissa Gold Mine and approximately 40 kilometers north-northeast of Burkina Faso’ st capital city, Ouagadougou.
Artisanal mining is active in several areas on the Property, with the most active group covering a strike length of over 200 metres, and some shafts exceeding 50 meters in depth. Historical results from artisanal reject material, sampled and reported by High River Gold, include gold grades of 20.0 grams per tonne (“gpt”) and 11.2 gpt.
Historical results from artisanal reject material, sampled and reported by High River Gold, include gold grades of 20.0 grams per tonne (“gpt”) and 11.2 gpt. In 2017, Parallel Mining conducted a small grab sample program (27 samples) on the artisanal reject material and results included 16.7 gpt, 12.5 gpt, 7.9 gpt, 6.3 gpt, and 6.0 gpt.
Parallel Mining recently announced assay results from the recent drilling program designed to test one of the areas of Mane II. In total, 732 meters in 10 reverse circulation holes were drilled in the southwestern part of the property to test whether high grade gold mineralization at surface extends at depth. The quartz vein being exploited by the artisanal workers hosted in a felsic intrusive (granite), and Evidence of this veining was noted in most of the drill holes although gold values fluctuated. Significant values from this drilling include results of: 1.6, 4.61, 2.00, 4.59, 2.97, 7.98, and 8.63 Au Grade (gpt).
Advancing Parallel Mining’s West Africa Gold Project
To advance the Mane II Gold Project, Parallel Mining has assembled a group of resource sector and mining professionals to take the properties to the next stage of advanced exploration. The Parallel Mining team is lead by John Anderson, an experienced junior exploration expert who has been instrumental in founding and leading a number of resource companies, including: American Eagle Energy, Bema Gold, Huakan International, International Minerals, International Tungsten, Northern Freegold and Triumph Gold.
Parallel’s strong team of exploration and mining professionals, have over 100 years of collective experience in the resource sector and includes: Robert Sibthorpe, B.Sc (Geol), MBA, Vice President, Exploration; and Nestor Kinane, M.Geo, Project Geologist and Burkina Faso Country Manager. Qualified Person is Julia Singh, P.Geo, an independent Qualified Person under NI 43-101.
