This service incorporates essential odour and air quality measurement, odour and air quality dispersion modelling and air pollution control project management. Our mission is to provide clients across Ireland and Europe with key odour and air quality measurement, dispersion modelling and air pollution project management abatement service for all types of industry, from planning through to completion, with a highly skilled professional team working together, using common sense and practical experience.
Odour Monitoring Ireland established an odour free laboratory and environmental service offering olfactometry, air quality monitoring, atmospheric dispersion modelling and abatement services in County Meath. The staff within the company has approximately 20 years collective experience in researching and resolving odour and air quality issues in Ireland and abroad and have published approximately 13 peer-reviewed papers in International journals.
Odour Monitoring Ireland began trading in 2002 and since its inception the company has grown from strength to strength expanding its range and type of service whilst building relationships and accredited support services in the form of an affiliated company Air Scientific Limited.
Currently, Odour Monitoring Ireland have "odour qualified staff" which were educated at the odour research facility in University College Dublin. These strong links allow us to keep up to date with the latest research methodology and techniques for air quality and odour measurement science, dispersion modelling and biological abatement.

Currently, Odour Monitoring Ireland consists of three individuals trained in various science disciplines. One individual is trained to Degree level while the other two members are trained to Ph D Eng. Level. Dr. Brian Sheridan was responsible for establishing the first research odour facility in Ireland and consequently established a similar odour research facility in California. Dr. John Casey has pioneered work on Life cycle analysis for intensive agricultural emissions and subsequently received the Bourke Bronze medal award for his research. Odour Monitoring Ireland has their own specific odour laboratory and a range of specific instrumentation for odour, air quality and bioaerosol monitoring and stack testing. Due to their intense involvement in research we have mantained this close link with academic colleagues around the world, which allows us to utilise a range of techniques and technologies to minimise air pollution.
