The OBZ Oberkärntner Baurestmassenzentrum GmbH was founded in 2016 due to the lack of infrastructure in the Upper Carinthian area for the recycling and dumping of construction waste and excavated soil.

The new plant enables the processing of mineral waste and the production of recycled building materials and excavations. Construction waste that cannot be used can be disposed of. The location thus represents a holistic waste management concept and is intended to make a significant contribution to sustainable regional resource conservation and thus to environmental protection in the Upper Carinthian area in the future.

A legal waste approval procedure was carried out for the project in accordance with the Waste Management Act.
