Mission Statement

The Authority’s mission is to plan and develop waste management systems that meet the highest environmental standards while providing the most efficient and reliable waste disposal services possible. We are a regional service organization assisting Member Jurisdictions with a variety of waste-related projects including recycling, resource recovery, composting, landfill gas-to-energy and solar. At the same time, we place a special emphasis on waste reduction. An underlying goal, inherent in all Authority projects, is to minimize waste disposal costs.
