Neowa GmbH was founded in November 2014 and began operating on January 2nd, 2015. Neowa moved into office space in Lüneburg and started building its business content along the corporate guideline "we design waste" ...

One of the first activities that shaped the future in 2015 was the establishment of the holding company neocomp GmbH in Bremen, in which neowa and the Nehlsen Group are realizing the processing of fiber composite waste. As part of this operational management, neowa GmbH now organizes and is responsible for the inflow of GRP waste from production as well as from the dismantling of wind turbines as well as the processing of rejects from the paper industry in an order of magnitude of approx. 65,000 t pa At the same time, the web platform "Glas-Fiber-Recycling-Europe" started, which is now an established communication channel.  

At the same time, neowa GmbH and Papier- und Kartonfabrik Varel GmbH & Co. KG in Varel planned and implemented the construction and operation of a waste processing plant from 2015 to 2018. As a result of this activity, neowa GmbH markets the sales of the energy pellets produced here to Sweden, Denmark and within Germany.

Since 2015, neowa GmbH has been preparing selected material flows on the basis of process engineering knowledge in such a way that they are used for material recycling in various industries and thus substitute raw materials that are becoming increasingly scarce.

Such material and thermal recycling of fiber composite waste from the dismantling of wind turbines in the cement processing industry was awarded the European environmental prize “Green Tech Award” in 2017.

In the meantime, neowa GmbH, together with its participation in neocomp GmbH, employs 16 people and has a profitable business volume of € 15 million.
