National Roofing & Sheet Metal Co., Inc. Since 1949 Since its inception, National Roofing has specialized in commercial and industrial roofing.  National was founded by the Karl Schmitt family in 1949 and purchased by Everett G. Sova in 1982. With help from dedicated employees, Everett expanded Nationals operations to include schools, government buildings, warehouses, malls, automotive, etc... In 1988, Everett’s son Gary Sova purchased National Roofing. Gary continued to expand the company and National Roofing began working all across the country.  Gary’s only son Todd has been working for the company since 1997 and has a degree in construction management from Michigan State University. Following the family tradition, Todd began his rise in the company working on the roof for 9 years before becoming the field superintendent. With help from an enthusiastic group of union roofers and sheet metal workers, along with experienced estimators and office personnel, National Roofing is ready for any and all challenges the future holds. Today National Roofing has completed projects in over 15 states. Thanks to the more than 100 dedicated employees and over a half a century of experience, National Roofing continues to find ways to serve our customers both in Michigan and throughout the United States.
