History
Nakolinnan Rauta Oy was founded in 1928. Initially, brothers Paavo, Väinö and Eino Nakolinna started together on Vanhalla Littoistentie. However, the men separated into their own industries and Paavo Nakolinna continued the scrap trade. Later, the scrap shop was located on Teollisuuskatu. The company moved to its current location on Ilmarisenkatu under the Helsinki motorway in 1994. The move was made for almost two years.
Nakolinna Rauta has been involved in the activities of the Finnish Scrap Dealers' Association since its establishment in 1940. In 2010, the association celebrated a great 70th anniversary in Helsinki, where we were able to enjoy the speech of Minister of the Environment Paula Lehtomäki.
