Mone Bros are an independent, family run business that has been providing landscaping products, building materials, natural stone and garden materials for over 55 years.

Brothers Phil, James and John Mone founded the business back in 1965, specialising in the maintenance, repair and hire of plant equipment to the construction industry. As a result of their success serving the growth of housing development in Leeds during the 1970’s, in 1979 Mone Bros acquired Blackhill Quarry and started supplying aggregates and stone products.

Over the years Mone Bros have continued to expand their portfolio of landscaping and building products. Whilst historically the main focus of our business was to supply products and services to the construction and utility sectors, today we are equally popular amongst DIY enthusiasts, property developers and landscapers.

Our Blackhill Quarry features the largest Landscaping product display garden in the area, customers can browse and purchase a wide range of Porcelain and Natural stone paving, pebbles, sand, decorative gravels, topsoil, hardcore and core building materials for all your landscaping requirements.

In 1987 Mone Bros launched recycling services from Blackhill Quarry, the focus of which was to recycle the construction waste tipped at the site and reduce the volume of waste sent to landfill. Such was the success, a year later the same service was launched from Mone Bros Whitehall Road depot. The recycling stages of Collection, Segregation, Crushing, Screening & Certifying produce several re-usable recycled products including recycled type1 and various sub-base materials.
