MVEC offers money-saving Energy Wise programs and a variety of conservation efforts that can help our members make the most of energy dollars. We have rebates, loans and practical solutions for heating, water heating and cooling.MVEC’s original headquarters was located on East First Street in downtown Jordan. The site is now home to the current Jordan City Hall building (which was also MVEC’s second home, but more about that later). MVEC used this first building from 1937 until 1959.MVEC was established when three smaller co-ops in Scott, Carver and Le Sueur counties merged, the directors decided each county should be equally represented on the Board. After the merger, all of MVEC’s original directors resided in Scott County. In August 1937, it was decided that Carver and Le Sueur counties should each be represented by four directors. To make equal representation, eight of the original 13 directors living in Scott County resigned.
