Company History

Minncast Steel Foundry was founded in 1971 by Richard Schlener. He established the business in a 2,000 square foot premises on Beech Street in Fridley, Minnesota. The facility had one 50lb Induction Furnace. Richard was the Founder, President and Work Force.

Minncast, Inc. grew with demand and eventually Richard was operating out of three separate buildings in the Fridley area.

In 1981 Richard purchased land and built a 64,000 square foot building on 2 acres which is our current facility.

We are a family owned business. Richard's oldest son Pete Schlener is CEO and Aaron Astleford is President. We currently employ approximately 55 people in our foundry, some of whom have been employed with the company from its very early years. We currently operate two shifts. Minncast is a non-union facility, with a very dedicated work force. Our office staff provides excellent support and superior service to our customers.

Minncast has grown to be an American Leader in the production of High Quality Steel, Stainless Steel, and Ni-Resist Castings.

Quote and Ordering Process

We are able to accept a Request for Quote (RFQ) by Email, fax or by submitting the information requested on the "Contact Us" page. Please have the following information (if available) for your quote to be processed efficiently. Standard delivery time is about 4 to 6 weeks from P.O. Confirmation to Product Delivery Date.

• Requested delivery date

After a RFQ is submitted, a quote will be generated and returned to you generally within 24 business hours. It could take longer under certain circumstances.

We are able to accept your Purchase Order by Email or fax. Once we receive a P.O. from you, a Confirmation of Purchase Order is then sent back to you for your records.

We will go ahead with the manufacturing process of your order with all intentions to have the completed order sent to you by the delivery date or before if possible. If there will be a delay in your order for any reason, we will contact you. Our current on-time delivery rate is 96 percent.

Shipping

We will ship your castings to the requested "ship to" address as stated on your purchase order using the trucking company of your choice. Orders less than 100 pounds can be shipped UPS using your UPS account number.

If requested, we can provide you with tracking numbers or bills of lading to track your shipment or confirm proof of delivery.

We are able to ship to Canada by providing Customs invoices and NAFTA papers.

Our current on-time delivery rate is 96 percent.
