First known as Metals Disintegrating and then Pulverizing Machinery, the company name was changed to MikroPul due to the huge success of the pulse jet collectors it invented and patented in 1956.While pulse jet collectors continue to be a standard for industrial air filtration, MikroPul has engineered and developed a broad range of air pollution control technology, becoming known globally for its expertise with air scrubbers and cyclones, among other products. MikroPul continues to be an innovator with products such as AdvantaFlo™ inlet technology, Pop-Top™ filter bags,reverse air filters for highly combustible dust applications, long bag technology for pulse jet baghouse collectors, and more. Filtration solutions have ranged in scope from single accessory items to tens of dozens of collectors installed at a single site (the right photo above depicts one of MikroPul’s larger projects, an installation of 144 MikroPul pulse jet baghouses, each housing 500 filter bags, totaling 72,000 bags).The company established offices in locations throughout the world, including Australia, Canada, Germany, Mexico, and France (known there as Filtex and Filter-Media). MikroPul headquarters was moved from Summit, New Jersey to Charlotte, North Carolina when, in the late 1990s, MikroPul was acquired by Environmental Filtration Technologies, previously known as Beacon Industrial Group. The former Pneumafil Industrial Air Filtration Division was merged into MikroPul at that time, expanding MikroPul’s product line with Pneumafil’s well-engineered line of Reverse Air Filters (RAF) and Paraflo brand cartridge collectors.Environmental Filtration Technologies has been acquired by Nederman, with the plan to merge the companies and strengthen our common customer proposition.
