Mid-State Metals was started as a small family owned and operated business in July of 1997. In the early stages of the business, the owner, John Jancic, worked as a painter for the first-half of his workday in order to support his large family, coming home in the afternoons to open up the small shop on his property, he would sell metal roofing and siding to friends, neighbors, and people who came by hearing of the business through word of mouth. His wife and the older of his eight children would contribute their help to the business whenever they were needed.

In the years following, the business has grown from a small, family operated ‘side job’ to a full-time career. Mid-State Metals has expanded its product line and facility size to meet the needs of the homeowner as well as the commercial contractor. John accredits his business success to Jesus Christ and His grace. Also, answered prayers and the belief that if you make a high-quality, fair-priced metal product available, coupled with a personal and down-to-earth relationship with the customer, failure is not an option.
