Metallurgical High Vacuum Corporation (MHV), an equipment sales and remanufacturer of vacuum process equipment, was founded in Holland, Michigan, in 1981 by Geoff Humberstone starting as a consulting business, selling engineering expertise to the high vacuum industry. The business was expanded in 1985 to provide comprehensive design, engineering and support on a wide range of high-vacuum equipment, including remanufacturing of most OEM brand pumps, diffusion pumps, boosters, blowers, and auxillary vacuum equipment.  To accommodate growth, the company was relocated to a new 5000-ft2 plant in Douglas, Michigan. With a fast-growing reputation for high-quality work and creative problem solving, MHV outgrew this space and constructed a modern fully climate-controlled 16,000-ft2 plant, in 1996, on a 17-acre site near Fennville, Michigan. The Fennville plant features an 80 x 200-ft open bay with 30-ft ceilings and two 10-ton overhead cranes that access the entire working floor space. A 30 x 60-ft building was added in 1998 for warehousing cores and fixtures. In 2006, a 2,400-ft2 Engineering and Business office space was added to support the growing demand for 3D product design and engineering support. Currently, the facility has an additional 2560-ft2 storage building constructed in 2013, that houses cores and finished goods.  Our metallurgist, engineers, machinists and factory trained technicians, have the capability to remanufacture most brands and models of high vacuum equipment, including reverse engineering and production of many obsolete components that keep your equipment in service and control your costs. We offer the expertise to build OEM fixtures and test equipment that allows us to rebuild according to OEM specifications and methods then validate our work using dynamic testing that guarantees your equipment is in perfect working condition and meets OEM performance requirements.  Our auxillary products and services include vacuum piping and manifolds, flexible connectors, vacuum valves, custom oil filtration systems, custom engineered and fabricated components, Inficon UL-1000 helium leak diagnostics, vacuum feedthrough, vacuum metallizing components, field service and repair. We also provide rental equipment when it can benefit our customers.
