Our company profile

In 1978 Max Weland GmbH, Achstetten, was founded as a follow-up company to Ludwig Stegmann GmbH & Co. KG, Burgrieden-Rot, by its owner, Max Wieland. The relocation had become necessary due to the closure of the Laupheim-Schwendi railway line and the limited space available. Due to the foresight of our then head of the company, our current premises were gradually acquired by the Deutsche Bundesbahn. On this site we have direct access to the main line between Ulm and Friedrichshafen.

Max Wieland GmbH is now in the fourth generation.

With 14 employees, a fleet of 3 trucks for skips, 2 trucks for roll-off containers + containers with a crane and 2 hydraulic excavators, as well as a 600 t large shear, we are well equipped for future tasks in the recycling industry.

Since the end of 1999 complete roofing of the scrap storage facility. As a technical refinement, 2500 mÇ were concreted without expansion joints for the floor construction, so that our storage area is checked without any expansion joints. The special design of the floor meant that there was no need for a channel system at all. The entire warehouse was double-protected against environmental damage by a tested film (two-layer) under the concrete. The resulting liquids can thus be disposed of as a concentrate.

The container stand has been paved since February 2001 and drained via oil separators with a coalescence stage. As a special feature, we have a warehouse for emulsion-based materials. The floor structure (highly wear-resistant, waterproof concrete, 2 layers of special foil with drainage fleece, specially monitored and approved by TÜV) prevents any CFC-containing substances or substances that cannot be separated by oil separators from getting into the groundwater or the soil. With certification according to DIN EN 9002 in spring 1996, we were the 1st DIN ISO 9002 DEKRA-tested scrap company in Germany. We have been a waste management company since December 3rd, 1997, and we have been an old car collection point since March 1998.

The operation is approved according to §§ 4, 12, 13 and 19 BimSchG i. V. m. §§ 1 and 2 Paragraph 1 No. 2 of the 4th BimSchV, No. 8.9 Column 2, 8.11 Column 2 Numbers a and b of the appendix to the 4th BimSchV as well as § 49 Paragraph 1 in conjunction with V. m. § 58 LBO.
