Our History

MARTIN BAUR GmbH originated in the early 1930s. Martin Baur and his younger brother began to haul long timber from the forest to sawmills and train stations with the help of horse-drawn vehicles. The company was run under the name of “Gebrüder Baur” and in 1938 it was renamed the “Martin Baur” company. Today the company is a GmbH, employs over 200 people and is in the 3rd generation.
