Mainly Toner is in the business of making sure - to the best of our capabilities - that laser toner, printer drums, and inkjet cartridges don’t end up in landfills, where they will virtually never decompose. So we are on a mission to create awareness that we can enjoy every minute of our stay here on earth, and be responsible for future generations.

Here are the startling facts. In the US alone, 70 million laser toner cartridges - and 300 million inkjet cartridges - are purchased annually. Worldwide, the total for inkjet cartridges alone is 1.3 billion. Wow!

Care to guess how much of all that gets recycled or reused? Only 30%! Yes, you read that right. 30%. That means almost 50 million laser toner cartridges, and 210 million inkjet cartridges, get thrown into the garbage every year. What a waste. What a shame.

So, what are we going to do about it?

With your help, we can minimize that number significantly, and have a hugely positive impact on our environment. We believe that with a little effort, we can make a real dent in the number of laser toner, printer drums, and inkjet cartridges that end up in our overcrowded landfills - where, sadly, they’ll stay for years and years. Of no use to anyone.
