Lyon-Coffey Electric Cooperative, Inc. was formed in 1989 when adjoining coops of Coffey County and Lyon County merged.
Our power comes from a mix of generation. 40% from coal, 30% nuclear, 23% hydro, 4% gas/oil, 3% other.

Rental Lights
Lyon-Coffey Electric Coop will install a pole mounted light for our members. The cost for the rental light varies depending upon what lighting is required. Well placed lighting offers a great perimeter for your family’s outdoor activity and for farmers doing nighttime chores. In addition to perimeter lighting, our lights provide your family and possessions the security of knowing your home and property are well lit, deterring vandals and keeping unwanted activity at bay.
