1953
Lucchese paper mill of the Pasquini brothers
It all began with the foundation of the Lucchese paper mill of the Pasquini brothers in Villa Basilica in the province of Lucca, an important paper production center in the Tuscan territory. The brothers Alessandro, Eliseo, Fernando, Raffaello and Tarcisio begin the production of straw paper and paper for packaging which they will later refine in the factory located within the sixteenth-century walls of the city of Lucca. The technologies of the time could still adapt to the ancient building which for centuries had represented the most important mill in the city.
